Additional Insureds & Waiver of Subrogation in Commercial Insurance

Agents often field “additional named insured” status requests from their commercial-lines clients. However, there is no such thing! This course will address commercial-lines exposures and the difference between “named insured” and “additional insured.” The customer is one or the other, not both.  Additionally, some hold-harmless agreements—agreements that absolve one or both parties in a legally binding contract of liability for any injuries or damage suffered by the signer—are illegal in New Jersey and New York. This CE-approved session will focus on how an additional insured can be included on many different types of policies.
