The class is provided by The Hartford, a flood insurance provider through the National Professional Insurance Agents.  Members of the Texas Professional Insurance Agents earn preferred compensation and a great flood insurance processing center.  For more information regarding the program, click here.  Completion of the class will also allow you to become a referral agent for flood insurance and a listing on the FEMA website.  
COURSE OBJECTIVES

Elevation Certificates – Know The Facts provides attendees with a more in depth understanding of Elevation Certificates and how they relate to the National Flood Insurance Program. The course opens with a review of the Elevation Certificate, breaking the document down section by section. Discussion then moves on to interpret the information provided on an Elevation Certificate. By the course end, participants will be able to answer:

1. When Elevation Certificates are required
2. Why Elevation Certificates are required
3. Where Elevation Certificates are obtained

The course is designed for those individuals who have a working knowledge of the National Flood Insurance Program. The objectives of this seminar are to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and understanding to:

  • Read Elevation Certificates
  • Understand why Elevation Certificates are required by the NFIP
  • Be able to interpret information provided on Elevation Certificates and how this information relates to rating of flood insurance policies

Cost includes: Dinner Buffet, 2 Hours of CE Credit, Dave & Buster’s Gaming Card and a chance to win a Door Prize.
